Ethiopian National Transitional Council/ENTC
The ruling party in Ethiopia, Tigray People's Liberation Front (TPLF) and its satellite groups, have
been demonizing the Amhara ethnic group for over 30 years. Defaming and demonizing were
followed by brutal attacks against Amharas. Over the past several years, TPLF officials have
incited violence against that led to the massacre of thousands of civilians.
When asked about the displacement of tens of thousands of Amhara farmers from southern
Ethiopia, vice-president of the Amhara region Alemnew Mekonnen accused the voiceless
people of being belligerent and proud even when they do not have shoes to wear. Alemnew
went to use derogatory words to describe Amhara people showing his utter contempt for the
entire ethnic group..
ENTC believes that the solution for the root cause of most of the problems in Ethiopia is the
removal of the Woyanne junta with a united struggle and replacing it with a transitional
government.
Alemnew Mekonnen and all those Woyane regime officials who are verbally and physically
brutalizing the Amhara ethnic group and all other Ethiopians will be brought to justice.
