Several Ethiopians in the Washington DC area held a demonstration in front of the Embassy of Switzerland this morning on behalf of Ethiopian co-pilot Hailemedhin Tegegn who is charged with hijacking an Ethiopian Airlines plane. The demonstrators asked the Swiss government not to charge Hailemedhin as a criminal.
በዋሽንግተን ዲሲ አካባቢ የተጠራውን ሰላማዊ ሰልፍ በሚያምር እና በደመቀ መልኩ ሁኔታ እየተደረገ ነው ። በአመሪካ የሲዊዘርላንድ አንባሳደር ከኤምባሲው በመውጣት ከኢትዮጵያውያኑ ጋር በመቀላቀል "....እናውቃለን በኢትዮጵያ ምን እንደሚደረግ ..." በማለት ግንዛበያቸውን የገለጹ ሲሆን ለኤንባሲው አምባሳደር ደብዳቤውን ሰልፈኛው አስረክቧል። የመጣው ሰልፈኛ በርካት ሲሆን እናቶች ህፃናት ሳይቀሩ ሰላማዊው ሰልፍ ላይ መገኝታቸው የሚያስደስት ሁኔታ ነው።
