Somalicurrent – A suspected Al-Qaeda affiliated group, Al-Shabab
member was arrested by Ethiopian counterterrorism police unit in
Ethiopia’s capital, Addis Ababa. The man was suspected to be launching
suicide terror attack in several locations in the city, according
reports from the local press.
Ethiopian security officials reportedly foiled the attack the group had proposed to set off in locations in the capital city. The group has already succeeded to launch the same terrorist attack in Djibouti, Uganda and Kenya. All these countries have sent Somalia to accelerate the war against Al-Qaeda linked group.

Embassy in Addis Ababab has this week recommended its citizens residing
or traveling to Ethiopia an extreme caution and vigilance in travelling
or residing to Ethiopia over a possible terror attacks by the Al-Qaeda
linked group and to take appropriate steps to enhance personal security.
Despite calls to withdraw from the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM), Ethiopian authorities have vowed not to prematurely pull-out of the war-torn country.
