At Gondar, Wogera District and Wolkayit Woreda, Adremet City, the well-known and respected Sheik Ibrahim is sent to prison by the minority led Ethiopian regime on 26 January 2017.
The Sheik was one of the people who advocate and present cases of Wolkayit Amhara Identity requests to Tigray Region and Federal Council Office, sources reveal. Other people from Wolkayit were also imprisoned along with Sheik Ibrahim.
In other news; in nine sub-cities, young women between the ages of 18-32 were registered by the regime in a door to door campaign. The registered women were called to the sub-city office and were briefed on military training and were told they will be sent for military duties. According to the women who attended the meeting, it is revealed that the youngsters walked out of the meeting.
