Prof. Berhanu’s , Chairman of AG7 , six point calls to all Ethiopians:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. We need to support, in all we could, the ongoing struggle in Oromia and Amhara so that the struggle would continue unabated and become robust. We have to emphasize that there is solidarity between the Amahara and the Oromo in their struggle against the regime and also highlight that the two groups have a common goal. We have to stand on the side of the Oromo people who are bearing the brunt of the struggle.

2. Ethiopians in other regions should immediately join the struggle. Their demand could focus on the maladministration in their respective regions. However, we need to stress that local issues and maladministration could only be solved when there is a change of government.
3. We need to remember that members of the Ethiopian army, which is made up of the sons and daughters of Ethiopians, are also victimized by the TPLF regime. Patriotic Ginbot 7 has made several calls to the army not to kill its own people. We need to echo this call over again during the struggle.
4. We need to call on mid and low-level cadres and officials of OPDO, ANDM, SEPDO and TPLF. We need to remind them that it is high time that they stand on the side of the people. If they do so, they would spare the country and also themselves. We need to warn them that if they otherwise ignore the call of the people and continue to commit atrocities to protect the regime, they would face serious consequences up on the demise of the regime. We also need to facilitate ways for those cadres and officials who wish to join the popular struggle.
5. We need to bring to the attention of the leaders of the EPRDF that the more blood spilled, the more the people become resolute in their struggle. We need to remind them that they need to reassess and give a positive response to the people’s demand before the country reaches a point of no return. They need to do that if they want to keep and enjoy all the wealth they acquired through the looting of public and private properties. We need to bring to their attention that an all-inclusive negotiation is the way out of the current quagmire and bring about a transition to democratic order. We need to explain to them that in order to bring this democratic transition, the regime should immediately stop killing and abducting of innocent citizens, release all political prisoners and scrap all laws enacted to coerce the people.
6. All groups, armed or otherwise, who are struggling to bring democracy to their country should come together and begin a dialogue on building a democratic Ethiopia, and to make a country which will be a common home for all Ethiopians.
